This addition evolved after the owners spoke to remodeling contractors who proposed the typical family room bumpout which did not satisfy or excite. This family room/dining room/kitchen is one big flowing room with ceilings capped by the "lantern" of windows creating spaces comfortable for the family and the extended family.
